ptscotch-dbg software package provides MPI programs and libraries for graph, mesh and hypergraph partitioning, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ptscotch-dbg
ptscotch-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ptscotch-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ptscotch-dbg *
You will get with ptscotch-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
